There’s no other way to slice it. Six turnovers against an SEC team will cause you to lose every single time. It wasn’t like this Florida team was anything special, but the score went the way it did because the Vols played sloppy and didn’t execute. Tennessee got embarrassed at home in front of a huge crowd, and they have nobody to blame but themselves.

In front of the 1998 National Championship team and with a tremendous home crowd advantage, Tennessee looked like an FCS school. To make matters worse, Florida didn’t do anything special, and I still believe they’re not a very good football team. Turning the football over six times was catastrophic, as was the performance in the trenches. This football program has a long ways to go.
