Tennessee is looking to add several offensive linemen in their 2020 class. Right now, the Vols have a commitment from one offensive linemen in the 2020 cycle, but they’re in on many others. One of their top targets along the interior of the line took an official visit to Knoxville this weekend.

Xavier Hill, a 6-foot-3, 325-pound offensive guard from Olive Branch, Mississippi, tweeted out that he is taking an official visit to see the Vols this weekend.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Hill is the No. 466 overall player, No. 27 guard, and No. 10 player in the state of Mississippi. Hill continues to climb rankings as he performs at camps and visits more places. A month ago, Hill was just outside the top-600 overall prospects. Now, he’s risen to just outside the top-450 overall players in the 2020 class.

About a week ago, Hill released a list of his top six schools in his recruitment. The Vols were included in that group along with Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss.

Hill has already taken official visits to two of his top six, visiting LSU in early May and Texas A&M in late May. He has an official visit scheduled to see Alabama next week as well.

On the field, Hill is an absolute stud. He lines up at both guard and tackle for Olive Branch, and he’s incredibly aggressive in run blocking. He gets very good leverage on a defender and knows how to use his hands. Not only that, but he moves very well and is more agile than you would expect from someone his size. Hill is very versatile, but he projects more as a guard in college. Still, he’s no stranger to playing tackle if he needs to kick out to the outside of the line. He’s a mauler no matter what position he plays.

Tennessee sent out an offer to Hill back on January 9th of this year, and he made his first visit to Knoxville on February 4th on an unofficial visit. Along with his top six, he also holds offers from Auburn, Florida, Arkansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Louisville among others.

The Vols’ lone offensive line commit in their 2020 class right now is three-star guard Javontez Spraggins. The 6-foot-3, 340-pound Spraggins committed to the Vols last week after attending a camp on UT’s campus.
