Tennessee hit the practice field on Tuesday afternoon as the Vols continue to prepare for their final road trip of the season to take on Missouri on Saturday.

In preparation for their last away game this year, Tennessee’s practice on Tuesday was much higher energy than during the bye week. All eyes were on the quarterback position. Jarrett Guarantano had his left hand heavily taped, still wearing his white glove as he took the first reps at quarterback. Brian Maurer took the second-team reps, while J.T. Shrout took the third-team reps.

In regards to Guarantano taking the first rep, the redshirt-junior took the first rep of 11-on-11 as the media was leaving practice. Maurer and Shrout took the first and second reps during individual drills.

Maryland quarterback transfer Kasim Hill, who is redshirting this season due to transfer rules, was wearing No. 7 and imitating Missouri quarterback Kelly Bryant on the scout team.

Along the offensive line, Wanya Morris worked at left tackle, Trey Smith worked at left guard, Brandon Kennedy worked at center, Jerome Carvin worked at right guard, and Darnell Wright worked at right tackle.

Jahmir Johnson (toe) was in full pads along with Wright (knee), going through drills. Dominick Wood-Anderson was also dressed and practicing.

On the defensive side of the ball, freshman inside linebacker Henry To’o To’o (knee) and sophomore corner Bryce Thompson (knee) were also dressed out and going through drills. Both sustained injuries in Tennessee’s last game against Kentucky.

The rotation at inside linebacker consisted of Daniel Bituli and To’o To’o working as the first team backers. Redshirt freshman J.J. Peterson, freshman Aaron Beasley, and Solon Page worked in on the second team.
