A Look at the Vols’ 2020 Early Signing Class

The first day of the early signing period for the 2020 recruiting class was kind to the Vols, as Tennessee landed several of their top targets on the day and came away with a strong haul of prospects.

All in all, Tennessee welcomed in 21 signatures on Wednesday, adding five new ones to the prospects who were already committed to the Vols’ 2020 class prior to Wednesday. Defensive end Tyler Baron, pass rusher Morven Joseph, running back/linebacker Len’Neth Whitehead, quarterback/athlete Jimmy Holiday, and defensive tackle Reginald Perry were all new additions to Tennessee’s 2020 class, and 16 of the 18 Vols who were previously committed also signed with the UT on Wednesday.

As of right now, three-star athlete Darion Williamson and three-star offensive guard Kyree Miller aren’t expected to sign with the Vols this week, but both seem to be on track to sign with UT in February during National Signing Day. We will update those two situations in the coming weeks.

Aside from those two, Tennessee signed every other prospect committed to them prior to the start of Wednesday’s early signing period. The Vols aren’t expected to add anyone else the rest of this week (barring any surprises), so their early signing class appears set.

The Vols still have room to add a few more prospects between now and February’s National Signing Day, so look for all eyes to turn to prospects like Darnell Washington, Jay Hardy, Dee Beckwith, and others.

For now, though, here’s a complete look at Tennessee’s 2020 early signing class.
