Tennessee Opens As Massive Underdogs At Alabama

Tennessee heads to Tuscaloosa on the fourth Saturday in October to take on No. 4 Alabama. The Vols opened as 29-point underdogs against the Crimson Tide, according to CircaSports.

The over/under opened at 67.5.

The Vols enter the matchup 4-3 (2-2 SEC) coming off a heartbreaking loss to then-No. 13 Ole Miss. The loss on the scoreboard wasn’t the only one Tennessee suffered Saturday night as quarterback Hendon Hooker was injured in the game’s final minutes.

Tennessee is 3-4 against the spread this season and 2-2 against the spread in SEC play.

Alabama enters the matchup 6-1 (3-1 SEC). The Crimson Tide suffered a massive upset loss two weeks ago against Texas A&M before bouncing back with a 49-9 win over Mississippi State.

The Crimson Tide are 4-3 against the spread this season and and 2-2 in SEC play.

Tennessee is looking for a miraculous upset and its first win over the Crimson Tide since 2006.

The Vols defense is looking for their fifth straight strong performance next Saturday. Tennessee limited Ole Miss’ high powered offense, holding them to 31 points while recording a safety and becoming the first team to intercept Matt Corral this season.
