The Vols picked up their second SEC win of the year on Tuesday night in Knoxville. Tennessee welcomed in  South Carolina and promptly defeated the Gamecocks by a score of 66 to 46. After somewhat of a slow first half in the game, the Vols came out shooting and scoring in the second half, leading to the big win at home.

Tennessee’s veterans once again led the way for the team on Tuesday. Vols’ guard Santiago Vescovi led the Vols in scoring on the night, 14 points, as he was able to find his stroke early in the game. Josiah-Jordan James and Zakai Zeigler ended the game with 11  points each, while John Fulkerson had 10 points of his own.

After the game had concluded, Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes met with the media as he gave his reaction to the Vols’ win. During his press conference, Barnes spoke about several topics regarding the team. Barnes spoke about Tennessee’s ability to rebound from the loss on Saturday, and how he wants to see his team improve on the free-throw line as well.

Additionally, Barnes spoke about some of the Vols’ individual players, like Kennedy Chandler, Justin Powell, and John Fulkerson.
