#10 Davidson & #14 Montana State Are Worth Watching In The South

A group of rowdy fans welcomed Tennessee’s men’s basketball team back to campus after claiming its first SEC Tournament Title in 43 years.

The Vols’ dominated in Tampa, trailing for only 1:09 in three games. Tennessee’s defense suffocated offenses as it earned double-digit wins over Mississippi State and Texas A&M and a rubber match victory over Kentucky.

Kennedy Chandler earned the SEC Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player Award while he, Josiah-Jordan James and Santiago Vescovi landed on the All-Tournament Team.

The first tournament title since 1979 led to massive celebration inside Amalie Arena and Tampa and all across the Volunteer State. Take a look at some images from the celebration off of Stokely Hall.

Tennessee earned a three-seed in the South Region of the NCAA Tournament and will travel to Indianapolis for the opening weekend of game. The Vols will face 14-seed Longwood in the first game. If they win, Tennessee would face the winner of No. 6 seed Colorado State and No. 11 seed Michigan in the Round of 32.

The Vols and Lancers tip-off at 2:45 ET on Thursday. Tennessee opened up as 17-point favorites in the Round of 64 matchup.
