Tennessee held Pro Day on Wednesday afternoon in Knoxville, giving the NFL and all of their teams a chance to see the Tennessee players one last time before the NFL Draft.

While some of the players did go through workouts at the NFL combine at the beginning of April, Tennessee’s Pro Day was an opportunity to let all of the VFLs looking at the next level a chance to shine.

The first event of the day was the  40-yard dash, which saw five Tennessee players go through the drill: Defensive back Theo Jackson, defensive back Kenneth George Jr, defensive lineman Ja’Quain Blakely, defensive lineman Matthew Butler, and wide receiver JaVonta Payton.

Wide receiver Velus Jones Jr and defensive back Alontae Taylor were in Knoxville going through Pro Day drills but did not run in the 40-yard dash. Both players did run during the NFL Combine in Indianapolis and chose to hold on to those terrific times. Jones Jr finished with clocked 40 time of 4.31 seconds, making him the fourth-fastest player at the combine. In addition, Taylor clocked in at 4.36, which was good for 14th among all players.
