Strong Value? Hendon Hooker’s Heisman Odds in 2022

Hendon Hoooker is ready to lead Tennessee in his second and final year in Knoxville.

After spending his first three collegiate years at Virginia Tech, the Greensboro, N.C. native transferred to Tennessee to pair up with brand new head coach Josh Heupel. Hooker began the year as a backup quarterback for Tennessee but did replace an injured Joe Milton III against Pittsburgh. From that point on, Hooker would become Tennessee’s starting quarterback for the remainder of the season.

Hooker finished his debut season in Knoxville with 2,945 passing yards, 31 touchdowns, and only three interceptions.

Earlier this week, FanDuel Sportsbook released an update to their Heisman Trophy odds heading into next season. While Hendon Hooker did not make the Top 12, the Tennessee quarterback was labeled as one of the top value picks from That SEC Podcast’s Michael Bratton on Twitter.

Hendon Hooker’s odds from FanDuel come in at 60-1/+6000.
