Best Of Nico Iamaleava’s Dominant Weekend At OT7

    by -

Tennessee quarterback commit Nico Iamaleava is coming off a huge weekend at the Overtime 7v7 (OT7) tournament in Las Vegas.

The top five recruit lived up to his billing at the event, earning substantial praise from those in appearance at the event. 247sports chose Iamaleava for its quarterback on the event’s “dream team” while On3 named the Vols’ commit the tournament MVP.

Tennessee commit Ethan Davis earned the tight end spot on 247sports’ dream team.

The weekend in Las Vegas allowed Iamaleava and Davis to spend time around five-star receiver Carnell Tate. Josh Heupel and his staff have the Vols thick in Tate’s recruitment and the Chicago native is nearing his commitment.

Iamaleava showed off his big arm, ability to throw on the run and capitalized on easy throws during the 7-on-7 tournament.

While the bulk of Ryan's responsibilities involved beat coverage and writing, he also recorded podcasts for both the Beacon and Volquest. Did we leave out the part about Ryan interning for the Smokies? Ryan's work ethic, versatility, and strong writing skills are but three of the reasons why Vol Nation will be hearing from Ryan for years to come.
