Top 100 Lineman Announces Official Visit To Tennessee

Alabama defensive lineman Tomarrion Parker will officially visit Tennessee for the Kentucky game, the top 100 recruit announced Sunday.

Parker ranks as the No. 80 player and No. 8 defensive lineman in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Phenix City, Alabama native is one of the top players in the state of Alabama and one of the top defensive targets on Tennessee’s recruiting board.

At 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, Parker has the versatility to play as an edge rusher or potentially as an interior defensive lineman in the college ranks.

While Parker hasn’t announced a top group or eliminated any schools from his recruitment, the defensive lineman’s visits tell the story of which schools he is seriously considering.

Parker’s already taken two visits to Knoxville in 2022, visiting Tennessee for a junior day in March and partaking in the Vols’ massive “RockyTopPalooza” recruiting weekend at the end of May.

The blue-chip defensive lineman unofficially visited Tennessee for the Pitt game last year, making his October official visit the second time he’ll take in a game at Neyland Stadium.

First year head coach Billy Napier and Florida appear deep in Parker’s recruitment. The Alabama native visited Gainesville in April and last weekend with an October official visit scheduled.

After Michigan State offered in March, Parker visited East Lansing in May and will officially visit in June. Parker has visited the home state school Alabama twice, but hasn’t been to Tuscaloosa since January.Parker also visited Georgia in January.

While he’s yet to visit Happy Valley, Parker will officially visit Penn State in June.

Tennessee holds commitments from a pair of “Volunteer State” defensive linemen including top 100 recruit Caleb Herring and Greenbrier’s Nathan Robinson.

Four-star defensive lineman Vic Burley — one of Tennessee’s top targets in the 2023 recruiting class — is set to make his college decision today.
