It’s down to two schools for class of 2023 athlete Cristian Conyer. And according to a social media post on Thursday, Conyer’s decision is just right around the corner.

Conyer posted to Twitter on Thursday, revealing that his official Top 2 consists of Tennessee and Kentucky. In addition, Conyer also confirmed that he will be announcing his decision this Sunday at 4:15 p.m. ET.

This spring has been a big back-and-forth recruiting battle between Tennessee and Kentucky for Conyer’s services. Tennessee jumped out to a great start with Conyer, but the Bowling Green, Kentucky native’s home state’s school has certainly made a play for him since then. Tennessee has put a significant amount of effort into this recruitment.

Conyer is rated as a three-star player according to 247 Sports, On3 Sports, and ESPN. However, Rivals’ recruiting services have Conyer as a four-star prospect. According to On3’s composite rankings, Conyer lists as the No. 37 athlete in the class of 2023 and the No. 5 player from the state of Kentucky.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound prospect has played both cornerback and wide receiver for South Warren High School.

Heading into Conyer’s scheduled commitment on Sunday, 247’s analysts are split. Conyer currently holds one crystal ball prediction to Tennessee from Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong and one to Kentucky from Kentucky Insider Josh Edwards.

In addition, On3 Sports looks to be fairly split as well. According to On3 Sports’ Recruiting Prediction Machine, Kentucky is currently the favorite at 56.3 percent, with Tennessee right behind at 43.7 percent.

Conyer’s final two visits to his two final schools have come during the two weekends leading to his commitment. Conyer originally took an official visit to Kentucky on the weekend of June 16, which was followed by an official visit to Tennessee on June 24.

Now, with the visits in the rear-view mirror, Conyer is set to make his collegiate decision this Sunday, June 3.
