Tennessee is climbing in the polls following its, 34-27, overtime win at Pitt Saturday afternoon.

The Vols made their 2022 season debut in the USA Today Coaches Poll at No. 16 after being the unranked team with the most votes last week. In the AP Poll, Tennessee jumped from No. 24 to No. 15 to become the fifth SEC team in the top 15.

Tennessee made its Josh Heupel tenure AP top 25 debut last week after the season opening victory. The Vols tied BYU for the second highest climber from week two to week three in the AP Poll after knocking off then-No. 17 Pitt.

Josh Heupel earned his second road top 20 win in his short time in Knoxville as the Vols knocked off the Panthers. Tennessee made an abundance of second half mistakes but found a way to win in overtime.
