Tennessee Opens As Underdog Against Alabama

Alabama opened as an eight-point favorite at Tennessee according to Circa Sports. The over/under is 66.5 for the game.

The Vols and Alabama are both unbeaten on the season with the Crimson Tide ranking No. 3 and Tennessee ranking No. 6 in this week’s AP Poll.

Tennessee is 4-1 against the spread this season and 1-1 against the spread in SEC games after dominating LSU in Baton Rouge Saturday. The over has hit twice and the under has hit three times in Tennessee games this season.

Alabama is 4-2 against the spread this season and 2-1 against the spread in SEC games. The over and under have each hit three times this season in Crimson Tide games.

Tennessee’s lost 17 straight games against Alabama going back to Nick Saban’s first season in Tuscaloosa. Alabama’s undefeated on the season, but has survived a pair of close games against Texas and Texas A&M.

Backup quarterback Jalen Milroe started for Alabama against Texas A&M Saturday after Bryce Young exited the Arkansas game the week before with an injury.
