Tennessee Titans Put NFL-Best ATS Record on the Line Against Philadelphia

While the Tennessee Titans’ on-field performance has been a bit up and down this season, you could blindly bet them to cover the spread this year and be profitable. The Titans’ 8-3 record against the spread (ATS) is tied for the league’s best mark, joined by the Cincinnati Bengals and New York Giants.

Tennessee will be putting its league-leading ATS record on the line against a Super Bowl 57 betting favorite in the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13. Can the Titans cover the spread once again? Let’s look at what 11 weeks of data for each team tell us about the matchup.

Tennessee Titans 2022 Record Against The Spread

Here is how the Tennessee Titans got to where they are tied for the best record ATS through the first 12 weeks of the 2022 NFL season.

After starting the season 0-2 ATS, and not performing like the team we’ve come to know, Tennessee went on a heater and covered the spread in eight straight games.

The Titans also picked up seven straight-up wins during that stretch and put themselves firmly atop the AFC South once again.

If the Titans can cover in their remaining six games, they would have the second-best ATS record in the past five seasons, behind only the 2020 Kansas City Chiefs and 2019 Baltimore Ravens.

Titans Betting Trends ATS

The matchup with Philadelphia marks the seventh time this season the Titans will be getting points this season. This will be the third time, however, the Titans are getting more than four points, with the other two matchups being +10 at Buffalo and +14 at Kansas City.

In the games in which Tennessee has been underdogs, the team is 4-2 ATS, with the two blemishes coming against Buffalo at the beginning of the season and last week against the Cincinnati Bengals when the Titans were +1.

In all of their matchups on the road this season, the Titans are 5-1 ATS, which is also tied for the league lead with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Since Mike Vrabel took over as head coach in 2018, the Titans have the seventh-best record ATS at 43-37-1.

Eagles Betting Trends ATS

Although the Eagles have the best straight-up record across the NFL at 10-1, they have only been so-so against the spread.

Heading into Week 13, Philadelphia is barely above a winning record ATS at 6-5.

While the Titans have done well both at home and on the road in terms of the spread, Philadelphia is night and day. All but one of the Eagles wins ATS have come at Lincoln Financial Field, where the team is 5-1 ATS. This 5-1 home record ATS is the best in the NFL. Away from the Linc, Philadelphia is 1-4 which is the second-worst ATS record.

Since 2021 under coach Nick Sirianni, Philadelphia has covered the spread in 50% of its games, with a record of 14-14-1.
