Analyzing Tennessee Basketball’s Path To A Double Bye In SEC Tournament

There’s five games remaining in the college basketball regular season and after No. 1 Alabama, the SEC race is extremely tight. Four teams get a double bye in the conference tournament and don’t have to play until Saturday.

The 2018-19 Auburn team in the only school to win the SEC Tournament without receiving a double bye in the event since the conference expanded to 14 teams in 2012-13. If you want to win the SEC Tournament, earning a double bye is extremely impressive. There’s a log jam of teams that could finish in the top four with Texas A&M entering the weekend 11-2 and six teams between 9-4 and 7-6.
