Highly touted prep offensive tackle Daniel Calhoun has four of his five official visits scheduled according to On3’s Chad Simmons.

Calhoun will take his official visit to Tennessee on June 16 as part of a busy recruiting month for the standout offensive tackle. The high four-star prospect will officially visit Georgia on June 3, Alabama on June 10 and Texas on June 23.

While Calhoun has yet to announce a commitment date, a July commitment would make sense due to his June official visit schedule. The Vols getting the second to last visit could bode well for them.

Calhoun is one of the top offensive lineman in the 2024 recruiting class, ranking as the No. 56 player and No. 4 offensive tackle in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Marietta, Georgia native ranks as the No. 10 player in the Peach State according to the rankings.

Tennessee has struggled to recruit elite offensive tackles during Josh Heupel’s tenure and Calhoun would represent a major recruiting win for the Vols.

Calhoun has already made a number of trips to Knoxville, unofficially visiting Tennessee for both the Florida and Alabama games before returning for the Vols’ January Junior Day.

The 6-foot-6, 350-pound offensive tackle has taken even more visits to Alabama and home state school Georgia. Calhoun has taken five visits to Alabama since the start of 2022 and six visits to Georgia since the start of 2022.
