Ahead of Tennessee basketball’s regular-season finale on the road against Auburn on Saturday afternoon, head coach Rick Barnes and forward Julian Phillips met with the media in Knoxville on Thursday.
Barnes spoke about Zakai Zeigler’s ACL injury from the Arkansas game on Tuesday and how the recovery is going in the first few days, both physically and mentally. The Tennessee head coach also spoke about seeding in the SEC Tournament, lineup rotations without Zeigler, injuries, and much more.
Phillips, on the other hand, spoke about his own recovery process after returning to the court this past Tuesday. Phillips talked about his own health, shaking off the rust before the Auburn game, and Zakai Zeigler’s injury.
