Despite a strong performance from senior guard Santiago Vescovi, No. 12 Tennessee fell to Auburn by a score of 79-70 on Saturday afternoon on the road.
With the loss, Tennessee closes the regular season with a final record of 22-9 and 11-7 in SEC play. The Vols struggled while dealing with constant injuries in the back half of the conference slate, losing six of their final 10 games.
Tennessee battled hard against the Tigers on Saturday, led by Vescovi, who ended the game with 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including going 5-of-9 from behind the three-point arc.
Tyreke Key returned from injury against the Tigers and finished the game with 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting.
