The women’s NCAA tournament is down to the Final Four. You know what that means: it’s time to look at the odds and make some March Madness predictions.
The national semifinals will be played on Friday, March 31, and the championship game will be played on Sunday, April 2.
The women’s Elite Eight concluded on Monday, with South Carolina defeating Maryland 86-75 and Virginia Tech knocking out Ohio State 84-74. The previous day, LSU won its spot against Miami 54-42, and Iowa clinched the Final Four against Louisville 97-83. On Friday, LSU, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, and Iowa will compete for a chance to play in the final and, ultimately, be crowned champions of the women’s NCAA.
Today we’re digging into the odds for the women’s Final Four with a preview of the March Madness matchups and our predictions for the best bets.

Best Odds for LSU vs. Virginia Tech
The first Final Four game features No. 3 LSU vs. No. 1 Virginia Tech, tipping off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
The LSU Lady Tigers are 1.5-point favorites over the VT Hokies. Here are the odds for the game from BetMGM Sportsbook.

What to Know about LSU and Virginia Tech
LSU Coach Kim Mulkey and a trio of stars — Angel Reese, Alexis Morris, and Flau’jae Johnson — have led the Tigers’ squad through this March Madness tournament after a dominant season with only two losses (32-2). In the tournament, they’ve won every game but one by more than 10 points. Reese and Alexis Morris are scoring double figures in every game. However, against No. 2 Utah, they scraped by 66-63. Virginia Tech is the first No. 1 seed LSU faces this tournament and poses the toughest challenge so far. As it should be in the Final Four!
Virginia Tech is one of two No. 1 seeds left in the Final Four. The Hokies saw four losses in the regular season (31-4) but have also been dominant in the tournament, winning each round by nine points or more. Junior guard Georgia Amoore is averaging 24 points per game, while senior center Elizabeth Kitley had 25 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocks in their Elite Eight matchup against No. 3 Ohio State.
The Tigers are 2-2 against the spread during the NCAA Tournament and are averaging 81.8 points per game. The Hokies are averaging 72.4 points per game. But, in six of the eight games played by LSU or Virginia Tech in the tournament, less than 135 total points have been scored. That means we’re keeping an eye on the Under as a good bet for this matchup.
Prediction: LSU is something of a surprise pick by oddsmakers, so betting on Virginia Tech is a smart wager to grab. The Hokies are on a 15-game win streak. (Or, if you’re an LSU fan like this writer, you’re betting LSU to cover the spread.)

Best Odds for Iowa vs. South Carolina
The second Final Four game sees No. 2 Iowa and No. 1 South Carolina tip off at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.
The South Carolina Gamecocks are 11.5-point favorites over the Iowa Hawkeyes. South Carolina has been such a dominant team this year that some sportsbooks opened the tournament with futures odds simply “South Carolina vs. The Field.”

What to Know about Iowa and South Carolina
The Hawkeyes went 30-6 in the regular season and have bested their March Madness opponents by eight points or more each round. But South Carolina will be by far their toughest matchup – the highest seed they’ve played so far was No. 5 Louisville, who they beat 97-83. Caitlin Clark is averaging 30 points, 3.25 rebounds, and 11 rebounds per game in the tournament.

The Gamecocks entered the tournament as undefeated defending champions with a perfect 36-0 regular season record. They’ve won each round by over 10 points and the first two rounds by over 30. In the Elite Eight, they played No. 2 seed Maryland and won 86-75. In that game, three SC players got double figures: Aliyah Boston with 22 points, Brea Beal with 16, and Zia Cooke with 18.
We’re keeping an eye on the spread. Iowa is a surprising team, and the Gamecocks are 1-3 against the spread in the tournament so far.
Prediction: We’d advise going for the Hawkeyes to cover the spread. After all, with Caitlin Clark at the helm of an explosive offense, they could even pull an upset, though it’s unlikely.
