Betting Odds to Win the Masters Golf Tournament

Although the betting markets for the Masters will vary across the most popular sports betting apps, one market that will be available on all of them is wagering on a particular golfer to win the 2023 Masters.

Here are the golfers with the shortest odds to win this year’s Masters Tournament as well as some popular names further down the list.

Note that the odds next to each golfer are the best prices as of 2 p.m. ET on April 4.

  • Scottie Scheffler +700 (BetMGM Sportsbook and FanDuel)
  • Rory McIlroy +750 (DraftKings Sportsbook)
  • Jon Rahm +950 (FanDuel Sportsbook)
  • Jordan Spieth +1800 (DraftKings and BetMGM)
  • Patrick Cantlay +2000 (DraftKings)
  • Justin Thomas +2200 (DraftKings)
  • Dustin Johnson +2500 (FanDuel and BetMGM)
  • Jason Day +2800 (FanDuel)
  • Brooks Koepka +4400 (FanDuel)
  • Tiger Woods +8000 (Caesars Sportsbook)
  • Bubba Watson +30000 (Caesars)
  • Phil Mickelson +40000 (Caesars)

It’s no surprise to see Scheffler, McIlroy, and Rahm as the three golfers with the shortest odds to win the 2023 Masters as those are the same three players currently at the top of the PGA’s Official World Golf Ranking.

Scheffler enters this year’s Masters as the defending champ and will be fighting an uphill battle from a historical perspective. Only three golfers have won the Masters in back-to-back years (Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, Tiger Woods) and the betting favorite entering the tournament hasn’t won since 2005 (Woods).

Other popular markets you’ll find across most sports betting apps will be round-by-round leaders, finishing positions (top 5, top 10, and so on), golfers to make or miss the final cut, and prop bets.

Some sportsbooks will also offer special promos and bonuses for the Masters, so be sure to see what your favorite app has to offer.
