NBA Player Prop Bets for Tuesday, April 18

Atlanta Hawks vs Boston Celtics Player Prop

Bogdan Bogdanovic Over 11.5 Points (-109 at Caesars Sportsbook)

In Game 1 Bogdanovic played 28 minutes off the bench, right around what he averaged in the regular season, and led the team in box plus-minus despite shooting 30% from the floor. He finished with nine points, four rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocks.

Bogdanovic’s stats all point to the Over for Game 2. He averaged 14 points per game in the regular season and 13.1 per game after the All-Star Break. Following his return from injury, he missed both of Atlanta’s games against the Celtics, but he has averaged 20.5 points per game against Boston for Atlanta in regular-season meetings since 2021. He beat this number each time.

New York Knicks vs Cleveland Cavaliers Player Prop

RJ Barrett Over 1.5 3-Pointers (+115 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

Barrett is one of the NBA’s least efficient players, but he isn’t afraid to shoot. Despite converting 31% of his 3-point attempts this year, Barrett still averaged 1.7 per game on a career-high 5.3 attempts in the regular season. Barrett has shot 27.3% from the perimeter in six-career playoff starts but has still averaged 1.5 made per game, beating this number in three of those games.

Barrett knows that the Cavaliers don’t take him seriously from deep. His first 3-point attempt of the game went barely contested. He was left wide open on his lone make of the game. Barrett also made at least two triples in each of his four regular-season starts against the Cavaliers this year and converted an impressive 43.4% of his attempts. It’s usually wise to let Barrett shoot, but because of how lackadaisical Cleveland’s backcourt defense can be, he has found ways to make shots. +115 is simply too good of a price to pass up here.

Los Angeles Clippers vs Phoenix Suns Player Prop

Russell Westbrook Over 16.5 Points (-128 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

Let’s bet on Westbrook to bounce back as a scorer. The Clippers trusted him too much down the stretch for him to stay under this number again. Westbrook averaged 15.8 points per game with the Clippers on 48.9% from the field and 35.6% from the perimeter in the regular season.  His opponent — the Phoenix Suns — have allowed the second-most points per game (27.4) to point guards through the last 30 contests and the most (28.9) through the last 15.

Westbrook isn’t the scorer he once was, but he should bounce back in a big way come Tuesday. The Phoenix Suns have a long list of things to work on heading into Game 2, and that could distract them from doing the things that held Westbrook to just 15.7% from the field. The last time Westbrook shot that poorly in a playoff game, he bounced back with 24 points in his next outing.
