Where Tennessee Basketball’s Incoming Transfers Stand In Transfer Portal Rankings

After a quiet first few weeks of the offseason, Tennessee basketball had a dramatic week as its 2023-24 roster is starting to come into picture.

Part of that roster configuration included Santiago Vescovi announcing he is returning for his super senior season at Tennessee but the majority of it was adding players from the transfer portal. The Vols landed three transfer commits on the week: Northern Colorado’s Dalton Knecht, Harvard’s Chris Ledlum and USC Upstate Jordan Gainey.

Three transfers is the most players Tennessee has landed out of the portal in one offseason under coach Rick Barnes.

That has practically filled up the Vols roster by late April. Even if all three of Josiah-Jordan James, Julian Phillips and Uros Plavsic left Tennessee, the Vols would need one more player to enter the transfer portal to get to the 13 scholarship limit.

All three transfers scored at a high level at their previous schools as Knecht (20.2 PPG), Ledlum (18.8 PPG) and Gainey (15.2 PPG) were the top offensive option at their previous schools.

See where the trio stands in transfer portal rankings as of April 22.
