Anthony Richardson NFL Draft Odds: Tennessee Titans Favored Landing Spot for Florida QB

Good news, Titans fans. One of the NFL’s top quarterback prospects looks like he might land squarely in Tennessee’s house this year. The Tennessee Titans NFL Draft odds are tracking the team as the favorite to snag Florida QB Anthony Richardson on Thursday, April 27 — the first night of this year’s event.

Richardson, who some might recognize from the Netflix series “QB1: Beyond the Lights” as well as a strong career with the Florida Gators, is rising as one of the top choices in the NFL Draft after a solid showing at the NFL Combine. He’s looking like he has the chops to become a star quarterback.

And Tennessee is in need of a star quarterback. The Titans have six picks this year, with one in the first round at No. 11 overall, which might make it trickier to claim Richardson on draft day if he stays a strong option.

So, let’s check out the betting odds offered by some of the best online sportsbooks and see how much Tennessee fans can get their hopes up on this one.

Anthony Richardson NFL Draft Odds: Will Titans Take Florida QB?

The Tennessee Titans are currently leading in the betting odds to draft Richardson, with a narrow 2-to-1 price on FanDuel Sportsbook. The Indianapolis Colts, who also have some QB problems, are the closest behind at around 3-to-1 odds. Indianapolis has the No. 4 overall pick.

Here’s how the top teams stack up in the odds on FanDuel:

  • Tennessee Titans: +200
  • Indianapolis Colts: +300
  • Las Vegas Raiders: +380
  • Seattle Seahawks: +380
  • Houston Texans +1600
  • Minnesota Vikings: +2000
  • Detroit Lions: +2000
  • Atlanta Falcons: +2000
  • Carolina Panthers: + 2500
  • Baltimore Ravens: +2500
  • Washington Commanders: +3000
  • New England Patriots: +3400

Let’s look at how these odds compare to some of the other markets analyzing the draft.

FanDuel has odds on which position Tennessee will draft first. The leading position is Offensive Lineman at -110 odds. Right behind that, though, is Quarterback at +150. The odds get considerably longer after that, with Defensive Lineman at +600, Wide Receiver at +1400, and Cornerback at +2500.

On the player side, FanDuel has odds for which players will be a Top 5 pick. Richardson is among the three favorites to be picked in the top five, which is an interesting challenge to the Titans’ odds to get him since they don’t have a top-five pick.

  • Will Levis -430
  • Tyree Wilson -150
  • Anthony Richardson -115
  • Jalen Carter +230

These odds reflect the virtual lock that quarterbacks Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud will be selected in the top five, leaving just three of those top-five spots to the above players or others further down the odds board for this betting market.

Tennessee Titans Picks in the 2023 NFL Draft

The NFL Draft runs from April 27-29. The Titans have six picks this year – they own their own picks for the first, second, third, fifth, and seventh rounds and have the Falcons’ pick in the sixth round (thanks to the 2021 trade for Julio Jones). The Falcons got the Titans’ fourth-round pick, and the Los Angeles Rams have their sixth-round pick, thanks to the Robert Woods trade.

So with all that straight, here’s how Tennessee’s picks stack up:

  • Round 1, overall pick No. 11
  • Round 2, overall pick No. 41
  • Round 3, overall pick No. 72
  • Round 5, overall pick No. 147
  • Round 6, over pick No. 186 (from ATL)
  • Round 7, overall pick No. 228

Titans in a Quarterback Pickle

The Titans’ quarterback situation is iffy. Plenty of signs point to the fact that the front office is probably ready to move on from veteran QB Ryan Tannehill.

Tennessee drafted Malik Willis in the third round last year, but he has been so bad that they claimed Josh Dobbs off a practice squad late last season to start a game that had playoff implications.

In other words, the Titans need a new QB soon, and Richardson is intriguing.

Anthony Richardson on the Rise Since the Combine

Richardson has seen his stock rise lately after a strong NFL Combine. He’s considered a dual-threat quarterback whose explosive athleticism pairs well with good pass accuracy and field awareness.

The Athletic’s Ted Nguyen ranked Richardson third among the nation’s top players for the draft but added that his potential is No. 1: “Richardson’s combination of elite athleticism, arm talent, and pocket presence is rare and gives him the highest ceiling in this class,” Nguyen wrote.

At the Combine, Richardson wowed scouts with his speed and agility, running a 4.43-second 40-yard dash — one of the fastest ever among quarterbacks. He dominated passing drills, showing accuracy and ease with an impressive arm.

Richardson also showed he could lead and be the face of a franchise. He answered questions thoughtfully and showed a strong understanding of the game, visibly impressing coaches and scouts in the room.

Going into the combine, many analysts expected he would be a project or work-in-progress, but he showed up more as a final product than anyone expected.

Overall, Richardson’s performance at the combine has solidified his status as one of the top quarterback prospects in this year’s draft. His combination of physical talent and intelligence could make him a valuable asset to the Titans going forward. We’re excited to see what happens on draft day.
