Tennessee baseball head coach Tony Vitello and players Christian Moore and Drew Beam met with the media following the Vols 9-2 Regional Championship victory over Charlotte on Sunday night.
The Vols had a stress-free win over the 49ers to finish the weekend 3-0 and reach their third consecutive NCAA Super Regional as a program.
Vitello made sure to applaud the other three teams in the regional––Clemson, Lipscomb and Charlotte––in his press conference while also breaking down the highlights of his own team’s performance.

Those highlights included Christian Moore’s stellar weekend that won him Regional MVP. The Vols second baseman went 7-10 at the plate with 10 RBI and 4 HR. In Sunday’s game, Moore hit two HR and recorded four RBIs.
Another big part of Tennessee’s Regional-clinching victory was Drew Beam’s outing on the mound. The sophomore was great in six innings, giving up just four hits and two earned runs.
