Tennessee Baseball Players Post Farewell Messages To The 2023 Season

Tennessee baseball’s memorable 2023 season came to an end Tuesday night at the College World Series as the Vols fell to LSU 5-0.

It was a season to remember for Tennessee. The Vols turned a 5-10 SEC record into 16-14 before returning to the College World Series for the sixth time ever and second time in the Tony Vitello era.

Tennessee’s path to Omaha was a memorable one too. Vitello’s sixth squad took down No. 4 Clemson — one of the nation’s hottest teams — in the regional before fighting weather delays and a game one loss at Southern Miss to win the Hattiesburg Super Regional.

The 2023 Tennessee baseball team made it further in the NCAA Tournament than any team since the 2001 Vols.

Here’s how Tennessee’s players said goodbye to the season on Twitter.
