Fresh off the open date, the Tennessee Volunteers are back on the football field this week with Texas A&M heading to Knoxville for a cross-divisional matchup this Saturday in Neyland Stadium.
Tennessee offensive coordinator Joey Halzle and defensive coordinator Tim Banks spoke to the media on Tuesday afternoon on campus as both coaches hit several topics during their press conferences.
Halzle spoke about replacing Bru McCoy’s production and how the stage isn’t too big for the Vols’ two redshirt freshman receivers stepping up in McCoy’s spot. Halzle also talked about what Texas A&M does well on defense and how he has assessed quarterback Joe Milton’s season so far.
On the other hand, Banks spoke about Texas A&M’s quarterback situation and what QB Max Johnson does well on the field. Banks also talked about the Vols’ linebacker unit, Tennessee’s pass rush, and his excitement to welcome Eric Berry to the team this weekend.
No. 19 Tennessee will host Texas A&M on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
