Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel stepped up to the podium on Thursday morning in Knoxville for his final press conference prior to the Vols’ cross-divisional clash against Texas A&M this weekend.

As usual, Heupel’s Thursday press conference was fairly short and sweet. Heupel spoke about combating Texas A&M offensively this week while also discussing some of Tennessee’s receivers such as Dont’e Thornton, Kaleb Webb, and Chas Nimrod in the absence of Bru McCoy.

Heupel also spoke about playing Texas A&M as an Oklahoma quarterback back in the day, watching Eric Berry and bringing the future CFB Hall of Famer in this weekend, and gave some routine injury status updates.

No. 19 Tennessee (4-1, 1-1 SEC) will host Texas A&M (4-2, 2-1 SEC) this Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET in Neyland Stadium. The Vols will honor VFL Eric Berry during halftime of Saturday’s game as the former Vol is set to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame this December.
