As Tennessee football hosts Texas A&M for a crucial cross-divisional SEC game Saturday afternoon, the Tennessee basketball team is preparing for an important recruiting weekend.

The Vols are hosting a pair of blue-chip recruits in the class of 2025 on visits around the big football weekend. Five-star point guard Aaron Rowe and four-star power forward Aleks Alston are both visiting Tennessee less than a month away from the start of the college basketball season.

Rowe is one of the top players in the country, ranking as a five-star recruit and the No. 18 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The 6-foot prospect ranks as the No. 4 point guard in the 2025 class and the No. 2 player in the state of Missouri.

The blue-chip recruit is a Columbia, Missouri native but plays his prep basketball at Link Academy. Rowe was teammates with Tennessee freshmen Cade Phillips and Cameron Carr last season at Link Academy.

Rowe is still early on in his recruiting process and has only taken visits to Kansas State and Missouri at this point.

Alston ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 84 player in the 2025 recruiting class according to the 247sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-9, 205-pound prospect ranks as the 16th best power forward in his class and the top player in the state.

A Chicago native, Alston stars at Kenwood Academy and is one of the top prep basketball players in the midwest. Alston visited both Indiana and Ohio State earlier this fall and reportedly has a visit scheduled to Illinois for later this fall.

Tennessee is still looking for its first commit in its 2025 recruiting class but has been very active hosting top prospects on campus this fall. Rowe and Alston are just the latest blue-chip recruits to visit Tennessee this fall joining five-star Caleb Wilson and four-star Jeremiah Fears.
