Five words that no fan wants to hear: “They’re having a down year.”

Oh, the humanity!

Whether it be a player, team, or conference, no fan is ever looking forward to hearing about a potential “down year” after putting their heart and soul into the team from the outside during the offseason.

That’s something the SEC has had to deal with quite a bit this year. Yes, Georgia is ranked No. 1 in the country… despite slow starts and less-than-impressive victories. Yes, Alabama is…. looking at the AP Top 10 from the outside and has been for the last five weeks of the season.

Ole Miss has primarily been living in the teens, Tennessee has bounced around the bottom half of the rankings like a beach ball at a Nickelback concert since the Florida loss, LSU has struggled to simply just hang on to their ranking at times, and there has been a parade of mid in the 20s of the rankings featuring come-and-go teams such as Texas A&M, Florida, Missouri, and Kentucky.

So, with such a big topic still dominating SEC fan’s personal group texts near the halfway point in the season, SEC Shorts decided to base their latest video on Monday morning around that. While there’s no direct tie to Tennessee in this video, it is still a hilarious watch as the SEC goes under the microscope – or, in this case, stethoscope.

  1. If Tennessee doesn’t come up with a QB that can hit his receiver’s, they will be lucky to win 8 games. It isn’t the receiver’s fault. Tennessee has some of the best in the nation. Milton will not be drafted as a QB. Perhaps as a TE. Go Vols!@!
