Kickoff Time, Broadcast Details Set For Tennessee’s Homecoming Matchup Against UConn

Tennessee football’s week 10 matchup against Connecticut is set for noon ET at Neyland Stadium. SEC Network is broadcasting the game.

Dave Neal, Derek Mason and Alex Chappell are on the call for SEC Network.

The Vols have now played two afternoon home game, an evening home game and a night home game. Away from Neyland Stadium, Tennessee played a neutral site game at noon, a road game in the afternoon and one road game at night with another scheduled against Kentucky this week.

Tennessee’s early November matchup against UConn is its final non conference matchup of the season and its homecoming game this season.

The Huskies are 1-6 this season ahead of this weekend’s road matchup at Boston College. UConn’s lone win is over Rice and the Huskies also have narrow losses against USF, FIU and Utah State. Despite UConn’s struggles this season, Duke and Georgia State are the only teams that have earned lopsided wins over the Huskies this season.

Connecticut is in Jim Mora’s second season as head coach. The Huskies were one of the worst FBS programs in the country in the years prior to Mora’s arrival in Storrs. UConn was vastly improved and made a bowl game in Mora’s first season but have taken a step back this year.

Tennessee ranks 21st nationally in this week’s AP Poll after falling to Alabama last Saturday in Tuscaloosa. The Vols are 5-2 (2-2 SEC) on the season and head to Lexington this Saturday for a critical matchup against Kentucky at Kroger Field.

Other top SEC games in week 10 include Alabama-LSU as the 7:45 p.m. ET CBS game, Georgia-Missouri as the 3:30 p.m. ET CBS game, Texas A&M-Ole Miss at and Kentucky-Mississippi State is at 7:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
