Titans vs. Buccaneers Betting Odds

We said it was an even matchup between Tennessee and Tampa Bay. Here’s what we mean: Both teams are 3-5, and the point spread on most sportsbooks is wafer-thin at 1.5. But the Bucs have the home-field advantage at Raymond James Stadium. It’s the tale of a rookie QB against a vet and two teams trying to reverse a series of unfortunate losses.

Here’s what to know about each team going into Sunday’s game.

Tennessee keeps showing inconsistency

The Titans have finally settled on Will Levis as their starting QB after Ryan Tannehill’s untimely injury departure, but all that shakeup has only exacerbated their inconsistency.

Levis has a stellar debut in the Titans’ 28-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons,b ut he couldn’t clinch the deal in their next game against the Steelers, which they lost in Pittsburgh 20-16.

The Titans have lost three of their last four and really need a win to get back in the picture. They’re facing another inconsistent team that, on paper, they could beat if Levis is good. But the clincher? They’re 0-4 on the road and playing a team that desperately needs a win.

Tampa Bay trying to snap losing skid

The Bucs, as we’ve said, have also been wildly inconsistent this year. But they have the home-field advantage and probably a chip on their shoulder after last week’s loss to the Houston Texans and their star rookie QB, C.J. Stroud.

But can the Bucs allow another loss? They’re on a four-game losing streak since their last win against New Orleans all the way back on Oct. 1. They’re going to be playing hard for the win, especially considering their spot in the NFC South. They’re just one win behind the Falcons and two behind the Pelicans, who they already beat once.

Downside: the Bucs are 1-3 at home and 2-2 on the road, so the home-field advantage isn’t as overwhelming as it might seem.

Titans vs. Buccaneers Prediction: Bucs against the spread

As we said, the Bucs need the win and have a lot on the line in this matchup. We think that, in a matchup of QBs, Baker Mayfield digs deep and finds a win against rookie Will Levis. It’s a must-win for the Bucs with the 49ers up next.
