Four-star Chattanooga athlete Cameron Sparks released his top six including Tennessee football on Thursday afternoon. The Vols joined Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Miami and Michigan in the highly touted prospect’s top group.

Sparks ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 42 player in the 2025 recruiting cycle according to the 247sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound playmaker ranks as the nation’s top “athlete” and the second best prospect in the state of Tennessee.

The blue-chip recruit has long been one of Tennessee’s top recruiting targets in the 2025 cycle. A standout at Chattanooga power Baylor School, Spark plays against and has a good relationship with five-star Tennessee quarterback commit George MacIntyre.

MacIntyre and Sparks are currently ranked as the two top players in the Volunteer State in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Sparks stars at receiver and defensive back in high school and could play on either side of the ball in college.

If his visits to date are any indication, Tennessee is the favorite to land the blue-chip recruit. Sparks has visited Tennessee five different times during his recruitment including this past weekend for the Vols’ Junior Day.

Sparks has taken one visit to both Auburn and Georgia but hasn’t yet seen his other top teams. He has taken two visits to Alabama prior to Nick Saban’s retirement but the Crimson Tide didn’t make his top group.

Tennessee football’s 2025 recruiting class currently contains five commits including two from defensive backs. However, none of the Vols’ five commits are receivers. The Vols’ 2025 recruiting class currently rankings No. 11 nationally according to the 247sports team rankings.
