Saint Peter’s earned a 15-seed in the NCAA Tournament by winning the MAAC Tournament. The Peacocks were the three-seed in the event and defeated Rider, Quinnipiac and Fairfield by a combined nine points to punch their ticket to the Big Dance.

The Peacocks are just two years removed from an Elite Eight run in just their third ever trip to the NCAA Tournament. Then head coach Shaheen Holloway left for Seton Hall following the season but second-year coach Bashir Mason has the Peacocks back in the Big Dance.

Saint Peter’s went 19-13 (12-8 MEAC) over the course of the season and lost all both games it played against Big Six competition— Seton Hall and Rutgers— as well as a matchup against NCAA Tournament 11-seed Duquesne.

Tipoff between the Vols and Peacocks is at 9:20 p.m. ET on Thursday night. TNT is broadcasting the game.
