Tennessee football wrapped up their tenth practice of the spring camp slate over the weekend and is nearing the finish line. The Vols are set for three more practices over the week leading to the 2024 Orange & White spring game in Neyland Stadium.
The game will be held in Neyland Stadium on Saturday, Apr. 13, at 1:00 p.m. ET. Saturday’s contest will be open to the public but in a limited capacity due to the ongoing construction outside of Neyland Stadium. The game will take place in front of approximately 10,000 fans in the stadium.
The Vols have completed eight practices and two scrimmages this spring, the most recent scrimmage taking place last Saturday under the Neyland Stadium lights. While the conditions outside didn’t resemble a typical spring night in Knoxville, head coach Josh Heupel was pleased with his group’s work on the field.
“Great to be under the lights inside of Neyland,” Heupel said last Thursday night. “The guys had a ton of energy and a lot of really good work. Defensively, I thought they started extremely fast and violent and destructive, got off the field on third downs and did a great job offensively and settled in on the second half of the scrimmage. A lot of good work here for just being over the midpoint of spring ball and obviously have a huge week next week before we get a chance to see Vol Nation out here at the spring game.”
Tennessee has three assistant coaches and will meet with the media this week before the spring game: William Inge and the linebackers, De’Rail Sims and the running backs, and Mike Ekeler and the specialists.
