While the Vols weren’t included in this week’s SEC Shorts sketch, the crew made sure to address the big games from over the weekend in the SEC. The sketch showed parents of SEC teams wishing their kids goodnight, with the children asking about the outcome of their team’s games.

In Knoxville, the Vols were able to take care of Mississippi State 33-14 despite three key offensive players suffering injuries in the first half. The Vols vault themselves into first in the SEC standings following their win and look to keep the success going next week in Athens against Georgia.

For Georgia, the week did not treat them as kindly. The Bulldogs fell at Ole Miss 28-10 to give them their second SEC loss. The shorts made sure to include Ole Miss’s celebration antics which included rushing the field too early as 16 seconds still remained on the clock. The Rebels took it to Georgia throughout the game, intercepting quarterback Carson Beck three times and making the Georgia fan in the short mince words when describing the game to his son.

The other game focused on in this week’s short was the matchup in Death Valley on Saturday night between Alabama and LSU. Right away, the daughter of the Alabama fan brought up all the negative things she had heard in previous weeks, making her dad hilariously backtrack following the team’s dominant 42-13 victory. Jalen Milroe ran all over LSU as he tallied 185 rushing yards and four touchdowns, all on the ground. With a drink in hand, the LSU fan mom was frank with her son about the state of their team in this week’s short.
