Auburn (27-4), Florida (27-4), Alabama (24-7) and Tennessee (25-6) are the top four seeds and have been rewarded with double byes into the tourney quarterfinals.

The Vols play in the second quarterfinal Friday and will face the winner of 5-seed Texas A&M and the first-round (12) Vanderbilt-(13) Texas survivor at approximately 3:30 p.m. ET.

Kentucky (21-10) earned the No. 6 seed and will play Thursday at approximately 9:30 p.m. against the winner of the first-round matchup between (11) Georgia and (14) Oklahoma.

Auburn, currently ranked third in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, is the SEC regular season champ and defending SEC tourney champ, having routed Florida 86-67 in last season’s title game.

As of Tuesday, the NCAA tourney projection amalgamation site Bracket Matrix, had a record 13 SEC teams making the Big Dance field. That includes a pair of No. 1 seeds (Auburn and Florida), two No. 2s (Alabama and Tennessee) and two No. 3s (Kentucky and Texas A&M).
