Tennessee will trot out a special guest to throw the ceremonial first pitch against Auburn on Friday night.
According to a post from Tennessee Baseball on X, VFL Zakai Zeigler will be on the mound to start the night against the Tigers. Zeigler led Tennessee Basketball to the Elite Eight in his final collegiate season this past March and helped the Vols defeat Bruce Pearl’s Tigers in the 2025 SEC Tournament.
Zeigler previously threw out the first pitch before Tennessee’s game against Auburn in April 2022.
Tennessee will wear its Dark Mode uniforms for Friday night’s series opener.
