Tennessee made a splash in the recruiting world on Wednesday afternoon with the addition of four-star EDGE rusher Zach Groves to the 2026 class.
The in-state native chose Josh Heupel’s program over Clemson, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Southern Cal.
According to 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings, Groves lands as the No. 260 overall prospect, the No. 25 EDGE rusher in the class, and the No. 7 player from the state of Tennessee. Groves is now Tennessee’s highest-rated defensive commit and the Vols’ third-highest commit overall behind five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon and five-star offensive tackle Gabriel Osenda.
A future product of East Robertson High School in Cross Plains, TN, Groves stands at 6-foot-4, 252 pounds. Tennessee has had a great track record at the EDGE position under Rodney Garner, and Groves is looking to become the next in that line.
