
Tennessee baseball head coach Tony Vitello and infielder Andrew Fischer met with the media on Tuesday as the Volunteers prepare for the Knoxville Regional on Rocky Top this weekend.
Vitello’s group earned the No. 14 national seed in the tournament reveal this past Monday and will welcome in two-seed Wake Forest, three-seed Cincinnati, and four-seed Miami (OH) into Lindsey Nelson Stadium this weekend.
Wake Forest and Cincinnati will get the Knoxville Regional rolling on Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. ET. Tennessee will kick off its run on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. ET against Miami (OH).
The losers of those two games will clash on Saturday in an elimination contest at Noon ET, while the winners will battle at 6:00 p.m. ET. For more on the full Knoxville Regional schedule, click here.
Vitello and Fischer both spoke to the media for a little over 10 minutes on Tuesday as they previewed some of the storylines and talking points around the weekend.
