See Tennessee Baseball Betting Odds To Defeat Arkansas, Return To College World Series

Tennessee baseball is the only program in the country that has made it to super regionals each of the last five seasons. The Vols head to Fayetteville this weekend to face Arkansas in a best of three series, looking to make it back to the College World Series for the third straight season and the fourth time in the last five seasons.

Tony Vitello’s eighth Tennessee squad is facing a tall task this weekend at Arkansas with FanDuel Sportsbook viewing the Vols as underdogs against the Razborbacks.

FanDuel Sportsbook has Tennessee +114 to win the weekend series as of Thursday morning while having Arkansas -146 to defend its home field and return to the College World Series for the 12th time in program history.

The sportsbook gives Arkansas (+380) and Tennessee (+650) the second and third best odds to win this national championship. LSU (+310) is currently the better favorite to win the national championship.

With both Vanderbilt and Texas failing to make it out of its own regional last weekend, Arkansas is the highest rated remaining seed in the NCAA Baseball Tournament. The Razorbacks earned the No. 3 overall seed in this year’s tournament with a 43-13 (20-10 SEC) record.

Arkansas took care of business with ease in its own regional, going 3-0 and outscoring North Dakota State and Creighton (twice) by a combined score of 26-6.

Tennessee is back in super regionals after taking care of business and winning the Knoxville Regional last weekend. The Vols advanced to the finals with drama-free wins over Miami (Ohio) and Cincinnati before Wake Forest defeated Tennessee to force a decisive game seven.

The Vols’ used a seven-run fourth inning to build a lead and Liam Doyle slammed the door on the Demon Deacons with a perfect 2.1 innings pitched, striking out five batters in the process.

Arkansas and Tennessee faced off against each other just three weeks prior in the final week of the regular season. The Razorbacks won two of three games in Fayetteville while roughing up SEC Pitcher of the Year Liam Doyle in game two of the three game series.
