Tennessee baseball head coach Tony Vitello, right-handed pitcher Marcus Phillips and infielder Dean Curley met with the media following the Vols’ 4-3 loss to Arkansas in game one of the Fayetteville Super Regional.

The trio discussed what Arkansas starting pitcher Zach Root did so well in his superb 7.0-inning start, and Vitello went into further detail about his reaction to Root’s outburst in the middle of the sixth inning.

Furthermore, Phillips described what was working well for him on the mound as the junior turned in a quality 5.1-inning start. Curley talked his home run in the fifth inning, Root’s effectiveness, what the message is for the team going into tomorrow’s game with the season on the line and more.
