Tennessee Football will host four-star wide receiver Chris Stewart on an official visit this weekend, according to a report from On3 Sports’ Chad Simmons on Thursday.

Stewart, a prospect in the 2026 class, has been a Texas commit for nearly a year now. The Pearland, TX, native pledged his commitment to the Longhorns on June 25, 2024, and has been committed to the program ever since.

Tennessee will look to sway him to their shade of orange during a big recruiting weekend in Knoxville. Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman also reported on Thursday that Tennessee is set to host five-star LSU WR commit Tristen Keys this weekend, as the Vols look to make an impact with both 2026 receivers.

Stewart ranks as a four-star prospect in 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings, also landing as the No. 212 player in the class, the No. 32 receiver, and the No. 28 player from the state of Texas. He currently plays ball for Shadow Creek High School alongside his brother, Carter Stewart, a three-star safety in the 2026 class.

“Playmaker at receiver who assembled a breakout sophomore season facing strong competition vs. big-school programs in Houston metro,” 247’s Gabe Brooks wrote in an evaluation of Stewart in June ’24. “Size yet to be third party-verified, but looks and plays like a slot on tape. Plays fast and should get faster. Displays above average initial acceleration accompanied by good top-end speed, perhaps further along in the latter than the former.”

Brooks also notes that Stewart is the “type of weapon you could motion into/out of the backfield and get creative,” which sounds like someone that Josh Heupel and Joey Halzle would certainly take an interest in for their up-tempo Tennessee offense.

The six-foot, 175-pound athlete is quick on his feet. According to 247, Stewart ran a 11.10 in the 100-meter and 22.24 in the 200 as a sophomore at Shadow Creek.

Stewart has been busy over the last few weeks with a number of official visits. He took a trip to SMU on May 2, Miami on May 30, and Arizona State on June 6. After the Tennessee trip this weekend, he’s reportedly set for an official with his committed school of Texas on June 20.

Tennessee recently added its ninth commitment to its 2026 class with three-star safety KJ McClain on Wednesday afternoon. On3 Sports’ team rankings have the Volunteers slotted in at No. 12 in their 2026 team rankings as of early Friday afternoon.

We’ll see if Tennessee can make any strides in flipping two talented SEC commits during a big weekend on Rocky Top.
