Tennessee has made the latest cut for 2026 offensive lineman Edward Baker out of Baltimore, MD, on Monday, according to a report from Rivals’ Ryan O’Bleness.
Baker’s list was trimmed down to a Top 5 consisting of Ole Miss, NC State, Virginia, Tennessee, and Arkansas. The three programs that got cut from his Top 7 in late February are Alabama, Florida, and Auburn, with Ole Miss being added into the fold.
The St. Frances Academy product is ranked as a three-star prospect in 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. He also lands as the No. 1,075 overall player, the No. 91 interior lineman, and the No. 22 player from the state of Maryland.
The 6-foot-5, 335-pound lineman is in the midst of a five-team tour this summer. He took an official to Arkansas on May 30, an official visit to Virginia on June 5, and followed that up with an official visit to Tennessee on June 6. Baker also took an official with NC State on June 13 and will round things off with an official to Ole Miss on June 20.

More From RTI: Knoxville Linebacker, Phillip Fulmer’s Grandson Commits To Tennessee Football
Tennessee has one offensive lineman committed to the 2026 class already with five-star tackle Gabriel Osenda. A commitment from Baker would provide some interior depth to Glen Elarbee’s position group if he does wind up choosing the Volunteers at a later date.
Josh Heupel and his staff currently have 10 commitments in the 2026 class, headlined by five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon and Osenda. Other offensive commitments in the Vols’ class include four-star wide receiver Tyreek King, four-star tight end Carson Sneed, and three-star wide receiver Tyran Evans. While the Vols only have one offensive line commit so far, they’ve done well with defensive pass rushers with four-star EDGE rusher Zach Groves and three-star EDGE rusher CJ Edwards.
On a different note, Tennessee did pick up its first 2027 commitment on Monday afternoon. The Vols received a commitment from 2027 linebacker JP Peace, a West High School (Knoxville) product, who is the son of VFL Robert Peace and the grandson of national championship-winning head coach Phillip Fulmer.
