Tennessee added the first piece to its 2027 recruiting class with West High School (Knoxville) linebacker JP Peace on Monday afternoon.
Peace is the son of former Tennessee linebacker Robert Peace, who played for the Volunteers from 2000 to 2003. He’s also the grandson of National Champion head coach Phillip Fulmer.

At this early stage in the 2027 recruiting cycle, only Rivals has a ranking for the Knoxville-based prospect. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound linebacker is ranked as a three-star recruit but does not have a national, state, or position ranking quite yet.
Peace is the first member of Josh Heupel’s ’27 class so far.
