Tennessee has officially landed its third commitment of the day on Tuesday with 2026 cornerback Jamyan “JT” Theodore.
The three-star in-state cornerback from Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN, announced his commitment to the Vols’ program through a social media post from Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett on Tuesday afternoon.
Theodore marks Tennessee’s third commitment this afternoon, following right behind four-star linebacker TJ White and four-star defensive lineman Dereon Albert. Theodore helps bolster Tennessee’s massive defensive day on the recruiting trail.
According to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, Theodore lands as the No. 768 prospect, the No. 64 cornerback in the class, and the No. 20 player from the state of Tennessee.
After transferring to Baylor School prior to his junior season, Theodore recorded five interceptions with two returned for touchdowns during the 2024 season. His awareness and ability are things that Tennessee defensive backs coach Willie Martinez certainly has his eyes on.
“Hyper-aware cornerback prospect with valuable two-way experience and corresponding ball skills,” 247’s Gabe Brooks wrote in a June evaluation of Theodore. “Adept at breaking on throws from off coverage and will get mitts in the catch window even if the INT isn’t there. Terrific ball production across sophomore and junior seasons with 11 total INTs.”
While it isn’t in an orange-and-white uniform just yet, here’s a look at the skillset and playmaking prowess that three-star commit Jamyan Theodore is bringing to Rocky Top after his commitment on Tuesday afternoon:
