The top-rated player for the Vols is cornerback Jermod McCoy at a 94 overall. This makes him the fifth-best defender in the game and top cornerback.

EA Sports is allowing users to take a deeper dive into McCoy’s attributes, as well. His best mark is a 97 agility paired with a 95 coordination and 91 speed. He also owns an 88 awareness, 84 injury and 67 strength.

McCoy is entering his second season with Tennessee and third of his college career after transferring in from Oregon State. He is widely mocked to be a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

The second-best rating on the team belongs to returning tight end Miles Kitselman. The Alabama transfer is entering his second year with the Vols after taking over the tight end room and demanding the majority of snaps. Kitselman checks in at a 90 overall.

Third place goes to another potential top draft prospect. Projected to start at LEO, the position Josh Heupel has churned out NFL talent such as Byron Young and James Pearce Jr. in, Joshua Josephs sits with an 89 rating. He is entering his senior year.

A trio of Vols tie for fourth place at an 87 overall. Sophomore Boo Carter is possibly the most intriguing of the bunch given his two-way ability. He played defensive back and returned punts as a freshman, but he is getting reps as a slot receiver heading into year two now.

Tied with Carter is cornerback Rickey Gibson III. The running mate of McCoy, Gibson is also entering his junior season with the chance to play his way into the draft. The pair were both starters a year ago as sophomores on one of the best defenses in the country.

The last player coming at an 87 is transfer running back Star Thomas. Out of Duke and formerly New Mexico State, he is taking advantage of a junior college ruling that gives him this final year of eligibility. He is in a running back battle with DeSean Bishop and Peyton Lewis this fall camp.
