Tennessee Basketball released a new hype video on Sunday evening as the team prepares for the official season opener on Monday night against Mercer. The Vols will host the Bears at 7:00 p.m. ET from the Food City Center. The game will be broadcast on SECNetwork+.
The past met with the present in the Vols’ season hype video. The video begins with narration from past Vols such as Santiago Vescovi and Jahmai Mashack, and then switches to shots and highlight videos of Tennessee’s upcoming roster in action.
There are plenty of new faces on this team going into the season, but the roster is still loaded with talent. The two big additions were five-star freshman Nate Ament and Maryland transfer Ja’Kobi Gillespie, but don’t count out impact moments from freshman DeWayne Brown, Ethan Burg, Amaree Abram, Jaylen Carey, and others.
“Typical Barnes team,” SEC commentator Jimmy Dykes said about the Vols’ new look roster. “Physical and tough.”
