With Tennessee basketball set to square off with North Florida on Wednesday, the Vols held a final practice on Tuesday in anticipation of the game. However, starters Nate Ament (left ankle) and Bishop Boswell (right foot) were both limited participants. Neither injury is believed to be serious, and the limited participation is precautionary in nature.

The game against North Florida is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday. It will air on SECN+ and is played in Food City Center in Knoxville.

The Vols are off to a 2-0 start on the season behind a 76-61 win over Mercer in the opener and 95-56 drubbing of Northern Kentucky in the second game of the season. In the updated AP Poll, Tennessee slipped two spots to No. 20 in the nation. This is the fourth-highest mark of any team in the SEC behind Alabama, Kentucky and Florida.

Ament enters the season as a projected top prospect in the upcoming NBA draft. He was considered the No. 4 overall recruit in the 2025 class and was a consensus five-star recruit. He picked the Vols over a large number of offers from top programs across the country, namely Duke, Kentucky, Arkansas and Louisville.
