Lady Vols basketball has won five-straight games following a loss in Greensboro to NC State to open the season. The result is a No. 14 ranking in the country in the refreshed AP Poll.
This past week, Tennessee beat MTSU on the road by 44 points and Coppin State at home by 53. This led to the one-spot jump. UT moved past Baylor and USC, but was leapfrogged by Iowa.
This is good for the sixth-best mark in the SEC. Tennessee is behind just No. 2 South Carolina, No. 4 Texas, No. 5 LSU, No. 9 Oklahoma and No. 13 Ole Miss.
Other Lady Vols opponents on the schedule include No. 1 UConn, No. 3 UCLA, No. 16 Kentucky, No. 17 Vanderbilt, No. 23 Louisville and No. 25 NC State. Stanford is also receiving the most votes of any unranked team.
